Software dev has been a subject of my interest since I was 15 years old. I still remember the day I got my very own personal computer. It had 1 GB of RAM and a Dual-core processer in it. The first thing that came to my mind after using it for the first time was that how were all those programs on the computer made. I grew interested in it and started doing my own research about it. As I went through some basic tutorials, It almost felt like magic, being able to get the computer to do whatever I wanted, just by typing basic codes.
During my high school days, I built any program which my brain limited by my imagination could think of. The first successful program I made was a calculator. Then I went on to build small games like, some of which were, my version of the classic snake game and pong. I even made replicas of landing pages of some of the famous websites.
Time passed by and I went to college. Here, there were more resources available to me than I ever could have imagined in my high school. I met so many new people with different backgrounds and the same interests as mine. I used the time to learn new things all with pretty much the same fascination that drove me as a kid. I also used the opportunity to enroll myself in internships that helped me to use my skills professionally.
After college, I got a job offer from Lio to work as a web developer and that was perhaps the best day of my life.
So now, in the industry, the passion to code and eagerness to learn remain with me. And I am grateful for this.
