I am currently a Senior Data Scientist in Aquila Consulting. I have been working on multiple Advanced Analytics projects for different customers of various industries, actively focusing on ML Analytics and Big Data Management comprising the development of massively parallel algorithms dealing with large datasets. In a recent project technically led by me, with a Brazilian company in the industry of construction materials, we could improve the accuracy of supply chain forecasts by more than 20% resulting in R$ 3 Millions in annual profit by Reducing the stock levels and lost sale. My main research/work topics of interest are Predictive Modeling, Statistical Inference, Machine Learning Algorithms, Natural Language Processing, Text Mining, Information Retrieval, Social Media Analysis, Industrial Processes and IoT.

Before joining Aquila, I worked as a data scientist at Localiza-Hertz and Tracksale ltd where my work was focused on the time-series prediction specifically call-center demand and using natural language processing based on data-driven approaches to generate high impact for the business owners in the area of customer satisfaction monitoring.

I have also worked as a data scientist and researcher during two years in DELL EMC where we implemented massively parallel algorithms to find Spatio-Temporal patterns efficiently in terabytes of seismic data in order to discover relevant geological patterns such as faults and hydrocarbon reservoirs, necessary in maximizing oil & Gas production.

I am a PhD candidate in Computer Science in Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and I have my MSc degree from National Laboratory of Scientific Computing (LNCC-UFRJ). My background is in Machine Learning, Big Data, Database, Information Systems and Algorithms. Besides my experience in industry, I have many publications in well-respected international journals and technical conferences and I am the main inventor of our registered pattern in one of our projects in DELL EMC.
