About

Software design is my passion. "Computers" were my destiny from an early age.

Come time, come age, come solar flare: nothing will corrupt the memory of my first programming book. That tome wasn't a present from my grandparents--it was a future. Its cover still beckons with playing cards, flying saucers, and formula-one racers--these weren't images but promises and premonitions. Those pages held me spellbound. I laboriously recited line upon line of cryptic script on my keyboard; certain that when the ritual was completed that the incantation would summon forth the images to life. And so they did arise with a green-hue! (though, more-so by the power of the electron than aether)

Those eight-bit graphics wouldn't impress an eight year-old today, but they completely enchanted the eight year-old me of yesteryear. The sense of wonder from those days remains with me. It's carried me forward to excel through graduate school. It's propelled me into the engineering workforce; allowing me to dazzle with magic tricks of my own design.

Life is learning, life is growth. Unlike a magician, my smoke machine is out of dry-ice and I don't have any cards up my sleeves--I seek to educate. I value mentorship and leadership by example. Design should be simple, uniform, and understandable. The perfect solution is the maintainable one built through iteration and an agile approach.

I seek to apply my strong background in distributed systems and service design to interesting and challenging problems. I am eager to take the lead in architecting solutions for small and large-scale projects. Let's do great things together.
