i am an artist and programmer. why not? both are exercises in critical thinking, methodology, and creativity. i have a BFA in Visual Arts but all the computer skills are almost entirely self-taught over 15 years.
i have been working freelance since 2000 as graphic designer, web designer, web developer, hosting provider, and server manager.
i am deeply familiar with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, regular expressions, .htaccess, jQuery -- in that order, lol.
likes: Apple, Blade Runner, Pink Floyd, The Cure, Van Gogh, Dali, and gorgeous code without any such disgusting things as camelCase <-- * shudders *
dislikes: camelCase * goes to scrub hands *, and people who correct me when i pronounce MySQL as “My Ess Que Ell” when it clearly states at https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/what-is-mysql.html: The official way to pronounce “MySQL” is “My Ess Que Ell” (not “my sequel”), but we do not mind if you pronounce it as “my sequel” or in some other localized way. -- you can say "my sequel" if you want, just don't correct me for saying it the offical way.
