Hello, I've spent the last 25 years (ouch, writing that, I feel old!) in climate research and developing climate and weather forecast operations models at ECMWF and the University of Reading (UK), Max Planck Institute for meteorology (Germany) and ICTP (Italy). My answers on stackoverflow are mostly concerned with efficient processing of gridded climate data using CDO or python.
