1991 I was experimenting with my Zilog z80, with 4Kb ram which writes to a cassete, programming with BASIC, and my computer was running one of the original versions of OS written by Bill Gates. I was spending numerous months and years debugging and figuring out why the programs printed in the manuel doesnt work, how hard I try. Since the RAM is only 4Kb, when I enter 5-6 pages of program, it will complain about a memory error. It was dark ages for me.
Then I struggled hard to compete in the world of browsers with platform dependent plugins, and my clients used to complain a lot i'm not a "good programmer" since I cannot stream video without any browser plugins etc in 2003.
I'm still struggling to survive in this digital world :(
