I have been having a hard time to unlock the iPhone X in simulator.When trying to unlock it says Swipe up to unlock, that's it. Nothing happens when i swipe up, any idea how to unlock ?

Open xcode and go to window > Device and Simulators... go to the Simulators tab and click the + in the bottom left, here you can add iphone X. Thank you for your contribution, but the iPhone X and subsequently other simulators are already added. Removing then re-adding them has no effect.
Yep. In the menu bar when you've got the iOS Simulator open, Click Hardware -> Lock. Note that this looks slightly different than actually sleeping the phone (it keeps the "slide to unlock" screen running), but achieves the same effect. You can also do other nifty things like rotate the device and hit the home button.
The iOS Simulator provides us with a feature that can bypass this kind of behavior. Click on your Simulator and then go Hardware -> Touch ID or FaceID from the top menu bar. In the submenu there will be 3 options available: Enrolled - enables the Touch ID or Face ID feature.
Press
Command + Shift + H.
It will work for all the simulators.
