How do I uninstall R from my MacBook Pro OSX 10.9.2?
I need to reinstall a later version (The version for the Mavericks operating system.)
Sincerely Joe Mark
Drag-and-Drop is the most common method of removing programs in Apple macOS computers. Open up your Finder and then the Applications folder, move R's icon into the Trash. You may also move the R to the Trash by pressing Cmd + Del.
Press and hold the Option (⌥) key, or click and hold any app until the apps jiggle. Click Delete button next to the app that you want to delete, then click Delete to confirm. The app is deleted immediately. Apps that don't show either didn't come from the App Store or are required by your Mac.
In the "R Installation and Administration" manual says next:
If you want to get rid of R more completely using a Terminal, simply run (prepend sudo if needed):
rm -rf /Library/Frameworks/R.framework /Applications/R.app \ /usr/bin/R /usr/bin/Rscript
If be exactly, from that point:
