I put the "app-release.apk" into the phone, and tried to install it using File Browser. The app icon is showing nowhere.
The installation had text : "App not installed"

If you need to install such an app for your Android device, you can still do so, but you'll need to enable settings inside Android that enable you to install unsigned third-party apps. These settings are located inside the Android Settings app.
Why APK won't install on Android? First, make sure that your Android version supports the APK version you want to install. Also, remove the Play Store version of the app before installing an APK. Don't forget to check the storage space and permission to install apps from unknown sources.
The app was installed in other user. It is seen as uninstalled, but actually it is installed in multi user environment in android. Press the app in the settings, then press again the app to go into the details. Press the three dots on the top right corner of the screen, the select uninstall for all users.
