I'm getting this weird error when I try to hit this button to fix this error for the app I just made. I am trying to run the app on my connected iPhone when I get this error:
When I hit Fix Issue
I then get this error:
What does this mean, and how can I start testing apps on my phone again?
Creating an App IDNavigate to the App IDs area of the iOS Provisioning Portal and click New App ID in the upper right. Enter a name for the app ID under Description. This name is for your own use to identify the app ID. Enter a bundle ID search string and click Submit.
App IDs cannot be deleted once used in the store. Deleting an app doesn't free up it's app ID. You may have a problem, tho, considering you've already deleted that app. You might want to contact Apple directly via iTunes Connect's 'Contact Us' tree to confirm.
An app ID is a unique ID number assigned to your apps when they're added to AdMob. The app ID is used to identify your apps. An ad unit ID is a unique ID number assigned to each of your ad units when they're created in AdMob. The ad unit ID is added to your app's code and used to identify ad requests from the ad unit.
Easiest workaround I've found: find a bundle id that you already used.
Just create new projects with whatever name you want, and then change the bundle id to be the same in each project.
This works fine if you don't actually need to have multiple apps side by side on your phone, but you need to create lots of apps to test different scenarios.
