On Windows 7, when I keep pressing Ctrl+S on a file that's already saved, the Windows error sound will play.
This is very annoying, and is quite distracting when i am in the habit of continually pressing Ctrl+S during work.
Is there a way to disable this annoying features?

If Netbeans can’t stop Tomcat, I kill the JVM that Tomcat is using (CTRL + ALT + DEL in Windows). Using those three methods, I can avoid restarting Netbeans about 95% of the time.
If your laptop won’t stop beeping, it’s time to identify the source of the beep and solve it. There are multiple beeping patterns, and to make things complex, each indicates a different problem. You need to listen to the beeping sound to ascertain the beeping scheme. Once you’ve located the beeping pattern, it’s an easy road from there.
Sign in to DSM. Go to Notifications at the upper-right corner of the desktop and check for possible causes. Go to Control Panel > Hardware & Power > General > Beep Control and look for Reason for current beep to determine the cause. If the volume has degraded, refer to this article for instructions.
Well! This might help someone (may be begginer) in getting rid of this annoying Beep. Following this will help you disable Windows Default Beep. So, you won't hear this beep at all even outside netBeans.
1) Go to Control Panel.
2) Click Sound.
3) Click on Sounds in Top Tab Menu.
4) Click on Default Beep from Program Events Sounds List.
5) Select "None" from the drop down Sounds list.
6) Click Apply.
