Are there any good step-by-step tutorials for enabling printing from within an iOS 5 application? I have an application that needs to have a basic template (looks like a ticket) that is filled with information from an object and then printed out on a local printer. I've read the basic AirPrint items on the iOS developer site but would like to find a good tutorial that puts it all together.
Use AirPrint to print wirelessly to an AirPrint-enabled printer from apps such as Mail, Photos, and Safari. Many apps available on the App Store also support AirPrint. iPhone and the printer must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
The simplest way to print from an iPhone is by adding a printer with AirPrint, so you can print directly with a wireless connection. You can also print wirelessly without AirPrint by downloading your printer's app on an iPhone or iPad, or by connecting your devices with a USB cable and adapter.
Select Settings > Hardware > Printers > Create Printer Station. Enter a name for your printer, and tap No Printer Selected. Select Connect a Bluetooth Printer and follow the on-screen instructions. Once your printer is paired, return to the Square app and tap Print Test.
What about Apple documents on Drawing and Printing Guide for iOS http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/2ddrawing/conceptual/drawingprintingios/drawingprintingios.pdf [PDF]
