On physical device you long press the recent apps button and the split-screen mode is activated. Doing the same on android emulator doesn't work. What to do?
If you run it before opening any project then you will get a separate window emulator as it looks earlier. It will behave like a separate application. If you close the Android studio also it will remain open. You can close it manually.
Launch an app and tap the Recents button in the lower-left corner. Long press the app's icon. Tap on Open in split screen view when the menu appears. Samsung will give you the option to open the second app you want to be in split screen mode.
Step 1: Tap & hold the recent button on your Android Device –>you will see all the recent list of applications listed in chronological order. Step 2: Select one of the apps you wish to view in split screen mode –>once the app opens, tap & hold the recent button once again –>The screen will split into two.
Click on the Overview button
Click on the app icon
Select the split-screen option
Select another application
