Does anyone know anything of when the final version of Silverlight is going to be released? Actually, I've based one of my projects on Silverlight 5 and It has to be released within the next month.

Microsoft Silverlight will reach the end of support on October 12, 2021. Silverlight development framework is currently only supported on Internet Explorer 10 and Internet Explorer 11, with support for Internet Explorer 10 ending on January 31, 2020.
The Mono Team abandoned development of Moonlight, a free and open-source implementation of both the Silverlight 1 and 2 runtimes. Development was discontinued in 2012 due to the poor acceptance of Silverlight and the restrictions imposed by Microsoft.
Microsoft no longer supports the Silverlight plug-in. If you're having problems when using Silverlight, we recommend updating to a browser that supports HTML5.
Netflix will drop Silverlight in favor of HTML5 for its browser-based streaming service, in part because Microsoft is ending support for its video plugin in 2021.

Scott Guthrie stated that Silverlight 5 is coming out this month at his 9th Unplugged Q&A last week.
