I know that default "CTRL+B" Windows command works for showing all nested files.
Is there a shortcut to show all nested folders?
To modify one of the files, switch back to Total Commander without closing the compare tool (Alt+Tab), and load the file in an editor When you save the file and switch back to the compare tool, it offers to recompare the files Q: How do I associate file types with programs? Place the cursor on a file of that specific type
Simply press ALT+SHIFT+ENTER on a directory. Instead of <DIR> the size of this directory and all its subdirectories will be shown! This will only work in full view (i.e. all file details are shown). Q: In the file lists, Total Commander doesn't display the right icons for files associated with programs!
For the longest time I wanted to sort folders (aka directories) in Total Commander but it just wouldn’t. The sort rules only applied to files and I never took the time to figure it out. Well, I found the option now, which I want to share.
(Total Commander requires you to specify the whole path). Q: Is there a simple way to make Total Commander display the disk space used by all directories in the current directory individually? A: Yes! Simply press ALT+SHIFT+ENTER on a directory.
I doubt if this feature exists in Total Commander. The built-in tree
utility is always good enough for me.
If you don't like console output, just run this inside Total Commander's command line to copy the output to the clipboard:
tree | clip
Of course, you can assign it a shortcut. :)
