You can control the connection and socket timeout of the loading of the WSDL definition by setting enable-wsdl-discovery-timeouts . Use the value -1 to use the default of the underlying infrastructure. Use the value 0 to disable the timeouts. Use a positive integer to specify a timeout in milliseconds.
The default value is 100,000 milliseconds (100 seconds). To set an infinite timeout, set the property value to InfiniteTimeSpan.
The default value is 60 seconds. If the value of this stanza entry is set to 0 (or not set), connection timeouts between data fragments are governed instead by the client-connect-timeout stanza entry. The exception to this rule occurs for responses returned over HTTP (TCP).
After creating your client specifying the binding and endpoint address, you can assign an OperationTimeout,
client.InnerChannel.OperationTimeout = new TimeSpan(0, 5, 0);
Try setting the timeout value in your web service proxy class:
WebReference.ProxyClass myProxy = new WebReference.ProxyClass();
myProxy.Timeout = 100000; //in milliseconds, e.g. 100 seconds
