Is there a means to do remote desktop access from Windows Vista to Mac Mini with OSX? Looking to be able to remote in to Mac in order to access system so no need to have it on a seperate monitor/kb to do testing and development.
Anything similar to Windows Remote Desktop that can be used?
The first steps to set up Remote Desktop for Mac occur on your Windows computer. On your Windows 10 or 11 PC, open the Start menu and go to Settings > System > Remote Desktop. Set Enable Remote Desktop to On, and click Confirm when prompted.
You can't connect to a PC that's turned off, asleep, or hibernating, so make sure the settings for sleep and hibernation on the remote PC are set to Never (hibernation isn't available on all PCs.).
Windows Vista allows connections from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication.
With AnyDesk you can easily access and edit data and settings on remote computers or servers. Offer Remote Support to your customers, whether connecting to other Mac based systems, or desktops running Windows or Linux. You can count on AnyDesk's stable operation and cross-compatibility.
VNC for OS X
NOTE: VNC server is already included with OS X 10.4 and later. See http://www.wikihow.com/Setup-VNC-on-Mac-OS-X:
Is something like LogMeIn useful? There's a free version that doesn't have sound or file transport. If you can do without sound and have another way of sending files it might work. Or you can purchase a paid version...
