Run CHKDSK Command to Fix "System Cannot Find File Specified" Device. Right-click the Start button, type cmd in the Search, and select Command Prompt (Admin). Type chkdsk x: /f /r (x represents your target drive) into the Command Prompt window and press Enter Wait while chkdsk tries to repair the corrupted file systems ...
As we know, most people encounter the system cannot find the file specified error when trying to access or backup some files stored on the system. This is because that the file is damaged or corrupted. To fix this problem, you need to run chkdsk command to restore or repair the missing files.
I had the same. For some reason he cannot find the file anymore and every time he tries to auto save he fails. I did a save as but that didn't work either. I finally copied all my progress somewhere else (notepad file) and restarted. I removed the file that was causing the problem and created a new one with the same name where I pasted my progress. This solved my problem.
