I can't see anywhere in the Intuit Partner Platform documentation that explains which countries my app will be available in or the limitations of the versions used in international countries.
I've been told by a QuickBooks Online sales rep that "not all programs that work in the US version application center will work in international countries."
I'm specifically interested in knowing if users from Canada, Jamaica, the UK, India, and Australia can use my app if it is published on the Intuit App Center here in the US.
QuickBooks Desktop is only available on a rental/subscription basis for users in UK and Ireland, and is to be withdrawn from sale with no desktop software replacement with the final version being the 2021 edition. The Mac (macOS) version is available only in the United States.
While the QuickBooks Online App for Windows Desktop and the QuickBooks Online App for Mac Desktop were sunset from support as of April 20, 2021, the QuickBooks Online 'Mobile' Apps for iOS or Android mobile platforms are still available and still supported by Intuit.
How quickbook subscription can be used to manage accounts in multiple countries ? Hi @edritechno. You can use the multicurrency feature to properly track your transactions from bank accounts that use a currency other than your local currency. This will give you the ability to record transactions in foreign currencies.
“This difficult decision to discontinue QuickBooks has been made as the company can no longer deliver and support a product that meets the needs of customers in India,” the official statement says. The company has four million customers globally, with less than 1-2 per cent in India.
At this time, IPP only supports apps that integrate with QuickBooks Online (QBO) for the US market. However, we do plan to enable developers who want to integrate with QBO for customers outside of the US where QBO becomes available.
This is a high priority for Intuit and IPP and we'll share our detailed roadmap with the developer community ASAP. In the meantime, you can register for today's webinar here http://ippblog.intuit.com/blog/2013/02/registration-for-ipp-quickbooks-api-v3-webinar-.html that provides the roadmap for the IPP QuickBooks API including some details on global readiness.

Jarred
