assertRaises() – It allows an exception to be encapsulated, meaning that the test can throw an exception without exiting the execution, as is normally the case for unhandled exceptions. The test passes if exception is raised, gives an error if another exception is raised, or fails if no exception is raised.
An exception object is created when a Python script raises an exception. If the script explicitly doesn't handle the exception, the program will be forced to terminate abruptly.
assertFalse() in Python is a unittest library function that is used in unit testing to compare test value with false. This function will take two parameters as input and return a boolean value depending upon the assert condition. If test value is false then assertFalse() will return true else return false.
assertraises is a function that fails unless an exception is raised by an object of a class. It is mostly used in testing scenarios to prevent our code from malfunctioning.
I know about unittest Python module.
I know about assertRaises() method of TestCase class.
I would like to write a test that succeeds when an exception is not raised.
