Where can I still download PuTTY Connection Manager?
I am a PuTTY user and finally decided I need to upgrade to a tabbed SSH environment. I found a lot of threads/sites talking about PuTTY Connection Manager, but all of them pointed to missing pages/files.
It's available from PuTTY Connection Manager – Website Down. Show activity on this post. PuTTY Session Manager is a tool that allows system administrators to organise their PuTTY sessions into folders and assign hotkeys to favourite sessions. Multiple sessions can be launched with one click.
From the putty-secure-sessions database, select a particular PuTTY session, right mouse-click and select Configuration, click on the 'Enable Macro' check-box as shown below. From the same PuTTY session configuration window, click on the 'Login Macro' from the left-side menu and enter the uid/pwd as shown below.
When you cannot type anything in your PuTTY window and you see "(inactive)" in your PuTTY window's title bar, it means that your connection is inactive (has been dropped by the server). Why does a PuTTY connection become inactive? Connections use resources like cpu and memory on the client and server.
This is pretty simple: open putty and go to Session->Logging. Select all session output and specify a log file.
Try SuperPuTTY. It is similar to puttycm.
You can also try mobaxterm or mremoteng
You can get it at PuTTY: Extreme Makeover Using PuTTY Connection Manager.
