Runtime Menu¶ Click to open configuration dialog to configure fixed port, port number and connection timeout. Click to open the view log dialog to view the pgAdmin 4 logs. Click to enter/exit the full screen mode. Keyboard Shortcuts: OSX (Cmd + Ctrl + F), Other OS (F10).
To open pgAdmin, select pgAdmin4 from the EDB Postgres menu. The client opens in your default browser. To connect to the Advanced Server database server, expand the Servers node of the Browser tree control, and right click on the EDB Postgres Advanced Server node.
With the latest version of pgAdmin4, developers have added copy URL option on right click on tray icon, Download the latest version then right click on pgAdmin4 tray icon which will give you option to Copy URL, once you click that option then open your desired browser and paste the URL and hit Enter.
As pgAdmin is a web application, it can only interact with the local filesystem in ways that are allowed by modern web browsers.
With new chrome versions it is possible to run pgAdmin 4 as "native" desktop app. While the pgAdmin v4 web server is running, right click the icon in the Windows System Tray and select Configure... In the Browser Command input add the following:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --app=%URL%
Note that if you have Google Chrome installed in a different location, you will need to update the chrome.exe shortcut above accordingly.
Now when you start pgAdmin 4 it has its own window which you can pin to taskbar/tab to and so on. Like before.
