I'm looking for a simple PostScript interpreter to read. What open source PostScript interpreters exist?
I know about Ghostscript of course and also about xpost. Oh, I've just found ralpage, but it does not compile out of the box in modern compilers.

GPL Ghostscript is an interpreter for the PostScript (TM) language. A PostScript interpreter usually takes as input a set of graphics commands. The output is usually a page bitmap which is then sent to an output device such as a printer or display. PostScript is embedded in many printers.
Ghostscript is an interpreter for the PostScript® language and PDF files. It is available under either the GNU GPL Affero license or licensed for commercial use from Artifex Software, Inc. It has been under active development for over 30 years and has been ported to several different systems during this time.
I'm not sure there are any others...... Nobody sane would write a PostScript interpreter these days, and most of the old ones have vanished into the mists of history.
