this is my reference.conf

And this is how I access my Database
public class AddAccount extends BaseController {
@Inject
Database db;
public void add(){
// omitted for clarity of the problem
}
}
But when I use the default setup for db without hikari cp, It goes well but when I use hikaricp the problem exists. How do i mitigate this issue?
I think your database configuration overriden in application.conf is wrong. You should set your db configuration without hikaricp prefix:
play.db.prototype.driver=com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
play.db.prototype.url="jdbc:mysql://192.168.1.37/mydb?zeroDateTimeBehavior=convertToNull"
play.db.prototype.username=*****
play.db.prototype.password=*****
