No IDP was configured, please update included metadata with at least one IDP

I'm trying to execute Spring Security SAML Sample application following all steps referenced here : http://docs.spring.io/autorepo/docs/spring-security-saml/1.0.x-SNAPSHOT/reference/htmlsingle/#quick-start-steps. However, when I try to test single sign-on, an error page is opening with message : "No IDP was configured, please update included metadata with at least one IDP". Am I doing something wrong ? Thanks for your help !

Here is my stacktrace :

What is SAML IdP metadata?

SAML metadata is an XML document which contains information necessary for interaction with SAML-enabled identity or service providers. The document contains e.g. URLs of endpoints, information about supported bindings, identifiers and public keys.

What is IdP entity ID in SAML?

An Entity ID is a globally unique name for a SAML entity, i.e., your Identity Provider (IdP) or Service Provider (SP). It is how other services identify your entity.

Is SAML IdP metadata sensitive?

For example, if Identity Provider (IdP) X wanted to allow Service Provider (SP) Y to request SAML responses, IdP X would share its metadata with SP Y and vice-versa. Metadata is implemented in XML and does not contain any sensitive material, so signing metadata is optional.

I believe that your Tomcat is unable to connect to http://idp.ssocircle.com/idp-meta.xml during startup. You should be able to see an error in the startup log. Perhaps the Tomcat is not on a machine with Internet connectivity or can only connect through a proxy?
