Mysql failed to start

Question

I have installed mysql-5.6.14 from source pack

trying to start:

Open the terminal and run this command for starting mysql service:

$ sudo mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables

while mysql service is running, then open other terminal and run:

$ sudo mysql_upgrade -u root -p
