I am using Android Studio 2.2 preview, and I have mistakenly choose Layout preview settings to remove from sidebar which appears in the left side. Now how do i get back? Its missing from sidebar. Only i can see is gradle.

As @Nisu suggested, go to File>Settings>Tools>Emulator and uncheck the "Launch in a tool window". Save this answer.
You can right click on an activity->Find Usages(Alt+F7). You will get a list of files where the activity is used in the project, and then delete.
Here is how to open the Android Studion Emulator in a separate window. In Windows: Open Settings from File -> Settings... Select Tools -> Emulator and uncheck Launch in a tool window.
