Missing Constraint when opening Android Device Monitor

Question

When launching monitor, it crashes and writes the following to its log file:

I'm running Java 7 on Mac OSX 10.9.5:

1. Run command:

/usr/libexec/java_home -V Results should look like:

9.0.4, x86_64:    "Java SE 9.0.4" /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk-9.0.4.jdk/Contents/Home
1.8.0_144, x86_64:    "Java SE 8" /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.8.0_144.jdk/Contents/Home

2. If you see a Java 9 in result then disable:

First navigate to /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk-9.0.4.jdk/Contents/ Then rename Info.plist -> Info.disabled.plist

3. Verify Java 9 is disabled:

Re-run /usr/libexec/java_home -V and you should no longer see Java 9 version listed

For me, there was a Java 11.
