I'm new to maven and even if I found many post about this error, I haven't been able to understand what could cause this error.
How do you run Maven using the switch to enable full debug logging? Go to eclipse, open a debug configuration, add a new java remote application and change the port to 5005 and debug.
The dependency plugin provides the capability to manipulate artifacts. It can copy and/or unpack artifacts from local or remote repositories to a specified location.
The Compiler Plugin is used to compile the sources of your project. Since 3.0, the default compiler is javax. tools. JavaCompiler (if you are using java 1.6) and is used to compile Java sources.
Here seems to be the problem:
[FATAL] Non-parseable POM C:\Users\Benoit.m2\repository\org\apache\maven\maven-parent\16\maven-parent-16.pom
Because of this error maven was unable to add to plugin's classpath all the necessary libraries.
I recommend you to remove everything under C:\Users\Benoit\.m2\repository\org\apache\maven\
and rebuild the project. This should help.
