Go to "Device File Explorer" which is on the bottom right of android studio. If you have more than one device connected, select the device you want from the drop-down list on top. mnt>sdcard is the location for SD card on the emulator. Right click on the folder and click Upload.
To work with an emulator or device's file system: In the Devices tab, select the emulator that you want to view the file system for. To copy a file from the device, locate the file in the File Explorer and click the Pull file button. To copy a file to the device, click the Push file button on the File Explorer tab.
On Android StudioClick Edit Icon to edit the AVD. Click Show Advanced settings. Change the Internal Storage, Ram, SD Card size as necessary. Click Finish.
If you are using Eclipse you can move files to and from the SD Card through the Android Perspective (it is called DDMS in Eclipse). Just select the Emulator in the left part of the screen and then choose the File Explorer tab. Above the list with your files should be two symbols, one with an arrow pointing at a phone, clicking this will allow you to choose a file to move to phone memory.
Use the adb tool that comes with the SDK.
adb push myDirectory /sdcard/targetDir
If you only specify /sdcard/ (with the trailing slash) as destination, then the CONTENTS of myDirectory will end up in the root of /sdcard.
In Android Studio, open the Device Manager: Tools -> Android -> Android Device Monitor
In Eclipse open the Device Manager:
In the device manager you can add files to the SD Card here:
One easy way is to drag and drop. It will copy files to /sdcard/Download. You can copy whole folders or multiple files. Make sure that "Enable Clipboard Sharing" is enabled. (under ...->Settings)
