I'm looking for an online list of custom easing functions that I can use with jQuery.
I'm not interested in using a plugin for this, nor am I using jQuery UI.
I found one below that does a nice little bounce but I'm looking for a few others just so I can have some options.
In lieu of of other functions, a brief explanation of how this one operates and might be modified would be awesome. Thank-you!

The Compass Ceaser Plugin allows us to specify the easing function by its name and Compass removes the prefixes before the transition and animation properties. Jquery Easing Plugin: the jQuery Easing Plugins is the easiest way to provide animation with easing with the help of jQuery.
An easing function specifies the speed at which the animation progresses at different points within the animation. The only easing implementations in the jQuery library are the default, called swing , and one that progresses at a constant pace, called linear .
Easing functions work well in loops, when a new time is applied constantly. But you could also use them to calculate the position of an object at a specific time or frame. The function will return the eased value.
Provided that you follow the BSD licensing provisions, you can cherry-pick the easing functions that you want directly from the jQuery UI source code. Note that some of these functions depend on other functions within the list.
