I have captured the coverage details in a jacoco.exec file. It is 6Mb in size. I need to generate a coverage report using maven . I tried the below
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.jacoco</groupId>
<artifactId>org.jacoco.ant</artifactId>
<version>0.7.0.201403182114</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.jacoco</groupId>
<artifactId>jacoco-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>0.6.3.201306030806</version>
<executions>
<!--
Ensures that the code coverage report for integration tests after
integration tests have been run.
-->
<execution>
<id>post-integration-test</id>
<phase>post-integration-test</phase>
<goals>
<goal>report</goal>
</goals>
<configuration>
<!-- Sets the path to the file which contains the execution data. -->
<dataFile>D:/JaCoCo/jacoco.exec</dataFile>
<!-- Sets the output directory for the code coverage report. -->
<outputDirectory>${project.reporting.outputDirectory}/jacoco-it</outputDirectory>
</configuration>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
It is generating a coverage report of zero percentage.
Before the test the jacoco.exec file was zero bytes in size, and now it is 6MB in size. Is there something I am missing in the pom.xml?
Generate JaCoCo reports For generating JaCoCo reports only run the maven build with profile jacoco-generate-report as it is shown in the example above. After the command was executed, in directory target/jacoco-report you can find reports in HTML and XML formats.
Step 4: To get you code coverage report navigate to the target > site > jacoco > index. html > right-click > Open In > Browser > And your preferred browser. So basically index. html is your code coverage report file.
Here is the jacoco plug-in configuration.
<plugin>
<groupId>org.jacoco</groupId>
<artifactId>jacoco-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>0.5.10.201208310627</version>
<configuration>
<skip>${maven.test.skip}</skip>
<output>file</output>
<append>true</append>
</configuration>
<executions>
<execution>
<id>jacoco-initialize</id>
<goals>
<goal>prepare-agent</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
<execution>
<id>jacoco-site</id>
<phase>verify</phase>
<goals>
<goal>report</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
maven:test
it will generate jacoco.exec filejacoco:report
it generates report in html file under target/site/jacoco directory. You can view the report by opening index.htmlIf you love us? You can donate to us via Paypal or buy me a coffee so we can maintain and grow! Thank you!
