We ( in our project team) follow regular practice of leaving comments in an jira issue and regularly log the work done.
I want to check the history of work logged by a specific user (or by me) stating the hours worked on a day, and some more useful information.
Is that possible in Jira?
In the old view, the work log can be viewed and edited by opening the "Work log" tab on the bottom of the view.
Jira's built-in export function If you want to export time logged into particular tasks, you can achieve it by using the Jira built-in option to export issues. All you have to do is apply desired filters in the issue search to select issues for further exporting. Then hit the “Export” button on the top right.
Choose an Assignee time report. It shows how long each Assignee has been working on each issue. And in the "Total" column you can find the total time a particular person has spent on each issue. Also, you can export a generated report to CSV or XLSX files.
Install the Time Sheet report plugin: it will list the time logged for a particular project for a particular user over a range of days.
