How do I create an RSS feed of a Facebook group? I see there's sites you can pay, but how do I go about doing it myself? Do they actually scrape the content, or does Facebook actually provide some way to get the information?
That being said, RSS feeds have largely been replaced by simply joining the email list of the bloggers, brands or publications you want to hear from.
RSS feeds have lived through decades of the internet and have even 'come back from the dead. ' They're here to stay, even if they do continue to gradually become more rare. In fact, some are even finding new uses for RSS feeds such as to keep up with podcasts and Reddit forums.
While RSS feeds are still in use, they're becoming less popular with the use of social media and email subscriptions. Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn bring you the latest news from a site if you follow their profile.
UPDATE September 14th 2018: There is no public option to do that anymore. Only apps that get manually reviewed and approved by Facebook would be able to, and that effectively shuts down most if not all of them.
Facebook doesn't provide feeds for groups, however there are services that use the Facebook API to create RSS feeds. These are two of them that I found:
