In order to test access granting to the iOS calendar, I need to reset the privacy settings on my test device.
However, every time I install it on the device it remembers the old privacy settings and does not show the alert view to ask me if I grant access. Deleting the app and reinstalling it does not change this fact.
Is there a way to make iOS forget it knows my app and ask me again?
How to Reset Location and Privacy Settings on iPhone 1 Open your iPhone's Settings. 2 Tap General. 3 Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Reset. 4 Tap Reset Location & Privacy. 5 Type in your passcode. 6 Tap Reset Settings. See More....
Inside the iPhone Settings app, tap Privacy. Tap an option like Contacts, Calendars, Bluetooth, Health, Files and Folders, etc. Turn off the switch next to an app to prevent it from accessing the said thing. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for other privacy settings.
Unlock the iOS device. Go to Settings | General | Reset | Reset Location & Privacy. If prompted to confirm the settings change, enter your passcode to confirm. The device will reboot and clear out all databases that contain privacy permissions data for all apps currently installed on iOS-based devices.
Privacy settings in iOS and iPadOS help give you control over which apps have access to information stored on your device. For example, you can allow a social-networking app to use your camera, so you can take and upload pictures to that app.
Start the "Settings.app", go to General > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy.
This resets the privacy settings for all apps, but as far as I know, there is no way to reset it for a single app. Even removing the app and installing it again does not help.
