There does not seem to be any way of removing created photos or albums even when full access is grated to the program.
Delete support is vital for the Photos API to be complete. Lack of delete functionality really limits the usefulness of the API. It's no good to be able to create things but ask the user to delete them manually.
Am I overlooking something and there is a way to remove pictures and albums?
Thank you!
In https://photos.google.com/albums on a computer (I did not see this on my Android tablet) you can select photos, click the 3-dots and : Remove from album: the photos are only removed from the album. Move to trash (or Move to bin in some language settings): photos are deleted from the library, thus also from all albums.
The Google Photos Library API does not currently have an option to delete an album or a media item from the library. (You can 'star' this issue to draw attention to it and be notified of any updates.) Show activity on this post. Not only you cannot remove the whole album, you cannot remove the photos themselves.
Step 1: With the aid of an internet-enabled device, hit the link above you visit the website Step 2: Tick the gray checkmark at the top left corner of the pictures you want to delete Step 3: Click on the Trash Can icon at the top right corner of the website. You will see two options will pop up on the screen. Select Move to Trash.
You permanently deleted it from your device’s Gallery app without backing it up first. If your missing item is archived, you can unarchive it so it shows in your Google Photos library.
