Invisible watermarks, also known as steganography (from the greek “stenagos” – covered), are so-called because they're not obvious to anybody who doesn't know they're there. They contain hidden patterns or symbols that convey information to those “in the know”.
Invisible digital watermarking (IDW) is a type of steganography that aims at concealing information in a medium to prove ownership, integrity or provide additional information. If it's used to support copyright, its first priority is robustness against destruction and spoofing.
Use the zoom tool to zoom in until you are at 100 percent. Click on the "hand" tool so that you can move the image around in your browser. Most watermarks are located at the bottom right of an image, so start by looking there. The watermark will appear as a small logo or line of text.
How do you insert invisible watermarks in images for copyright purposes? I'm looking for a python library.
What algorithm do you use? What about performance and efficiency?
