I have been generating Distribution certificates on Apple developer portal from the last 4 years but this time I am facing an error while uploading .certSigningRequest file.
I have created it like the way I always created i.e. Keychain Access -> Request a certificate from a Certificate authority -> User Email address (Development App ID) -> Save to Disk -> Done
I have also updated my Apple Worldwide Developer Relations Certificate Authority certificate but found no luck.
That would be great if I get any other solution.
Update
I solved it by not leaving Common Name field while creating .certSigningRequest which was not the case before.
Distribution Certificates Must Be Renewed Periodically To continue distribution, navigate to the Devices organizer in Xcode. Select the expired profile and click Renew Profile in the red bar at the top. This will renew your expired certificate and add it to the provisioning profile.
A distribution certificate identifies your team/organization within a distribution provisioning profile and allows you to submit your app to the Apple App Store. A . p12 file contains the certificates Apple needs in order to build and publish apps.
The Certificate Signing Request (CSR) that you send to Apple contains your public key, some personal information about you and is signed using your private key. Apple then uses the public key in the CSR to verify that your CSR came from you before issuing your certificate (which contains your public key).
I solved it by not leaving Common Name field while creating .certSigningRequest which was not the case before.
