When I copy the code and comments from Intellij to Onenote. Surprisingly it lost its spaces. Is there any way to solve this problem. Please see screenshot below
what I am looking for is with formatting and indentation.

In Microsoft OneNote, you can cut, copy, delete, or move any selection of ink strokes.
To paste text into a noteOn the Home tab of the ribbon, in the Clipboard group, click the Paste button. Press Ctrl+V.
Set the caret anywhere in the line to copy the whole line, or make a selection to copy. Press Ctrl+C or choose Edit | Copy from the main menu .
Well unless you’ve got a different OneNote (mine is from Office 2016), it already keeps the formatting. I also tried it on the Windows 10 OneNote and it did the same. The Keep Source Formatting option on the right arrow is there (as another commentator said) but on mine, it’s enabled by default. Can anyone learn how to code?
Copy and pasting into One Note from R, while keeping the same font, is relatively easy. Just set the default font in One Note to the same format your code is in. For me, try to use a True Type font. They are far easier to read than other font types. Hope this helps!

Or there is a vscode plugin named S.T.O.N.E, you can use it. Show activity on this post. As mentioned by @rambler OneNote ignores pasted spaces, the solution is converting all spaces to tabs in your document using:
A short term workaround (this has worked for me with other IDEs) is to paste the code in another application like Microsoft Word, and then paste the code in OneNote.
