I found this bug in Google Chrome that I cannot explain.
The fonts that is loaded for a text sometimes changes for some reason by itself.
Here is a screenshot of the initial font when the web page loads:
Here is what I see after a while:
When I start scrolling on the page the font returns to normal.
Does anybody knows what is going on?
Also I have seen this happening on many other websites. And even on my own web pages.
I am using Google Chrome Version 31.0.1650.57, and I am on a Mac OS X 10.9.
The screenshot come from the DropBox documentation web site.
Go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display > Adjust ClearType text (on the left). Check the box entitled “Turn on ClearType.” After going through a short wizard, this will fix some of the text rendering issues in Chrome.
Go to advanced system settings. Click the settings button in the performance group. Check the box for "Smooth edges of screen fonts" Restart computer and your fonts will be back to normal.
Font size affects the overall size of a page's font while the zoom function affects how far away or close the browser zooms in on each page, which can give the appearance of small or large font. Access Chrome's font and zoom options to reset each field to their default settings.
This can happen due to DPI scaling level or screen resolution issues. Users reported that sometimes their web browsers change the fonts that they use. Know that manually changing the Windows fonts can solve this annoying issue.
It is a known Chrome bug and will supposedly be fixed in Chrome 33: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=236298
