You may receive an error message stating that phpMyAdmin needs a PHP version within a specific range. This might happen if you're running an outdated version of PHP, or a new update is not compatible with your version of MAMP. In this case, you”ll need to change the PHP version of your MAMP application.
Access phpMyAdmin on a Browser When the installation procedure is complete, open the browser and go to http://your-server-IP/phpmyadmin. Replace your-server-IP with the server's IP address. If you're using Hostinger VPS, you will find the IP address on the server management panel.
We'll walk through these options shortly: sudo apt install phpmyadmin php-mbstring php-zip php-gd php-json php-curl.
If you are using a blank password uncomment:
// $cfg['Servers'][$i]['AllowNoPassword'] = TRUE;
It is safe if you are inside an isolated development VM, otherwise set a password.
I've been having the same problem, but I think I may have sorted it out..
Solution: Assuming you used the setup.php file to setup phpMyAdmin, once you've finished configuring your mysql server and you've saved the changes, copy the config.inc.php file, auto-created in the config/ folder, out into the phpMyAdmin folder.. Make sure it's write-protected and delete the config/ folder.. Then refresh your browser..
Worked for me.. Hope it works for you too.
Cheers.
