How do I display pound(£) and euro(€) symbol in TextView?

The standard keyboard that comes with most versions of Android includes the euro symbol (€), but that character is not immediately visible. When you are tapping out an email message or other text and need to insert the euro sign, tap the ? 123 key in the lower-left corner of the keyboard.
To type the Euro symbol (€) in Microsoft Word for Windows, press CRTL + ALT + E.
If you have an Android, there's an easier option. Holding down the period key will reveal more symbols, including a question mark and dollar sign, on the main keyboard.
To insert the euro symbol using a built-in Word shortcut, press Ctrl + Alt + E (do not press Shift as this is a lower case e).
