Is there a way to test if a GUI is usable for color blind person?
I know that it has many degrees and I guess that's why simply doing a screenshot in black & white is not the best way to test the usability of a GUI for a color blind person. What is the best way or best tool to do it?
One great resource is the Color Blindness Simulator. This online tool lets you test how your website or app looks to people who are color blind. It has a range of simulation options, so you can test how your designs look for different types of color blindness.
Two of the main tests used to diagnose colour vision deficiency are: the Ishihara test, where you're asked to identify numbers contained within images made up of different coloured dots. colour arrangement, where you're asked to arrange coloured objects in order of their different shades.
To check whether a webpage is usable by people with color blindness: Open the accessibility-testing demo webpage in a new window or tab. Right-click anywhere in the webpage and then select Inspect.
