What is the best way to do this ..?
Django comes with a csv library. So there is no need to install the library package, we can directly import it in the views file. For generating CSV, we will use a HTTPResponse object as it is a file like object and set the response mime type 'text/csv'.
Go to File > Save As. Click Browse. In the Save As dialog box, under Save as type box, choose the text file format for the worksheet; for example, click Text (Tab delimited) or CSV (Comma delimited). Note: The different formats support different feature sets.
I usually prefer an action for this in the admin. This is the snippet:
