In Eclipse the import command would accept a URI but in Android Studio import only seems to accept the location of a directory on my hard drive. How should I clone my remote repository with Android Studio?
On github web, go to the repo you want yo clone and click on the download button (code) then copy the url where it says clone with https. In Android Studio 4.0, go to VCS (if you've added a github plugin) then click on Get From Version Control, it will load a window where you'll paste in the url you got from github.
To Git clone a repository navigate to your preferred repository hosting service like GitHub, select the repository you want to clone, copy the repository URL via HTTPS or SSH, type git clone in the command line, paste the URL, and hit enter .
Clone a Remote Repository using SGitOpen the SGit client, if you have not already. Click on the Clone button. SGit will clone (download) the remote repo locally.
You have to go to VCS > Checkout from version control > Git/SVN/Mercurial
