I searched the internet but I couldn't find an explanation on how often the traffic data get update in Google analytics.
It doesn't seem to be real-time and I have seen few posts mentioning 3 hours delays.
Can you please share your experiences?
The reports are updated continuously and each hit is reported seconds after it occurs. For example, you can see how many people are on your site right now, which pages or events they're interacting with, and which goal conversions have occurred.
You'll need to wait 24-48 hours after setting up your Google Analytics property to see your data. While you're waiting, you can verify your tracking code is doing its job by checking your real-time reports and debug view or looking at your website source code.
Google analytics takes up to 24 hours for the data to appear. GA will show reports from the day you have implemented tracking id on your website. It will not show any historic data or the number of visitors who visited the day before you implemented GA.
User and event data retention You can choose how long Analytics retains data before automatically deleting it. The maximum amount of time that Analytics will retain Google-signals data is 26 months, regardless of your settings. By default, Google signed-in data expires after 26 months.
Now it is real time: What’s happening on your site right now
They do it several times a day but you should only rely on data that's over 24 hours old to ensure its accuracy.
