How many ratings are enough to warrant a display?

Apptentive research shows that mobile users won't even consider downloading an app that's rated lower than 3-stars. Moreover, 79% of people will read at least one review before they install an app.
As of February 2022, the highest-ranking mobile apps on the results page of the Apple App Store had an average of 31.7 thousand reviews and an average rating of 3.35 stars.
The top apps and games were found to have at least 4-star rating, both for current version and cumulative. On average, the rating of the top iOS apps is 3,81 stars and for Android it is 4,16 stars.
“An app with 1 star rating will still be available for download even after it gets poor ratings. However, there will be a huge impact on future downloads of the apps as most of it is dependent on reviews,” Vivek Shah who develops applications told Business Insider India.

Update: Looks like it's 10 reviews needed now...
Update 2: Hmmm, also looks like a free app got an average with just over 5 ratings. I wonder if there's a different average needed depending on the payment scale

Sadly, it is not that number either. We have over 25 reviews on our app since the update and it is now six days and it still says "Not enough reviews". Not sure what is the situation.
