You can add a row outside of the outermost group right under the tablix header row. When there is no data, the table will show the headers and empty row. When there is data, the empty row will be hidden.
To display a message when no data exists in database or no row found for user specified values you can go to report Tablix property.
I am building an SSRS 2005 report using BIDS. My report filters on date. When the selected date returns no data rows the report is blank, just the title is displayed, no table or column heading.
How can I change this to display a message like No data available. or Report is empty.?
