I am looking to allow app rotation on an iPad, but would like to keep it disabled on the iPhone, as it is too narrow.
So far, I only see instructions on one device or the other, but not both.
Any ideas?
If you want to disable landscape orientation for both iPhone and iPad. Go to Targets and Go to the General tab. See the below screen and deselect landscape left and landscape right.
Make sure that Rotation Lock is off: Swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen to open Control Center. Then tap the Rotation Lock button to make sure it's off.
Swipe up from the bottom edge of your screen to open Contol Center. Tap the Portrait Orientation Lock button to make sure that it's off.
In Xcode 6 you have to edit Info.plist
