My Chrome console does not allow me to adjust the log level and turn off these awful violations; the option is disabled. Why?

Use the short cut Ctrl + L to clear the console. Use the clear log button on the top left corner of the chrome dev tools console to clear the console. On MacOS you can use Command + K button.
Click "Hide console sidebar". When the sidebar is open it controls the filters.
